The globetrotting family of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt was recently spotted at the Tokyo airport.  Check out the oldest of their brood, Maddox – he’s sporting a grey pair of Native shoes in the popular Jefferson style.

Fortunately, Natives aren’t just for the rich and famous – your little one can be as stylish as this celebritot!  Shoebacca.com carries a wide variety of Native shoes, including the Jefferson, in a rainbow of colors.  To start shopping for Natives, click here!

Crazy for Keens!

If you’ve read any of my blogs, you’re probably aware that I’m not terribly fashion-oriented.  I’m the kind of person who loves finding a cheap shirt that fits decently – and then I’ll buy 5 of them.  In only 2 colors.

I admit, my look just doesn’t change much from year to year.  Jeans with black or grey shirts and black shoes is just my thing.  I don’t often follow many trends, which is either because I’m such a rebel or because I’m just too tired to care.  I suppose I could be called totally out of it, or maybe I’m just a “classic?”  (I know which one I prefer!)

But I do have a few fashion loves, and one of them is Keen shoes.  I adore them.  Sometimes I want to just shout it from the rooftops: I LOVE KEENS!!

Fall 2011 Style Watch: Pouchette Purses

Marc Jacobs "Petal to the Metal" pouchette bag

There’s an easy way to glam up your look this Fall!  With lots of bright colors and embellishments, adding a pouchette purse to your accessory collection will punch up even the dreariest wardrobe.  Plus, they happen to be all the rage right now!

“Pouchette purses were all over the Fall 2011 runways,” says Delisa, professional wardrobe consultant.  “From the color-blocked Proenza clutches to Louis Vuitton and Chanel, runways were full of clutches with handles on the back for convenient carrying and other great embellishments.”

Pouchette purses are versatile, pairing well with casual daytime wear or sparkly evening attire.  The sky’s the limit for colors of these cute purses – and don’t forget the extra bling!  According to Delisa, “Pouchettes give Fall’s fashion another alternative to a chic daytime bag.”

Holiday Wear – Glitter, Sequins, and Lace, Oh My!

Holiday season is upon us…which means it’s time to stock up on glam party-wear!  From office holiday parties to New Year’s Eve and everything in between, make sure you stand out with some of the fun textures that are associated with the holidays – glitter, sequins, and lace.

Now, for me, I don’t like spending a whole lot of money on items that I will only wear on occasion.  I scoured the internet for affordable items that would be great additions to your holiday closet, and I found some great options.  I also just want to note – go easy on the glitter and sequins.  Stick to one piece, whether it be a dress, a top, or a pair of shoes.  Too much can be distracting and hard to pull off…well, unless you’re Lady Gaga!

Dresses

Dresses are must-haves for the holiday season.  In addition to the staple “little black dress,” I found some really fun dresses – and believe it or not, all of the dresses are under $70!  Key trend highlights include bright jewel tones (think reds, blues, and purples), sequins, and lace details.

Clockwise from top left: Double Fabric Dress from Zara, $59.90; American Living Sheath Dress from JCPenney.com, $54.99; H&M Sequin Dress from HM.com, $49.95; Sequin Dress from Forever21.com, $37.80; En Crème Lace Illusion Dress from Nordstrom.com, $68; Hailey Logan Taffeta Dress from JCPenney.com, $59.99

Wedge Boots!

OK, wedge shoes of all varieties – I give up.  I give in to your awesomeness, and I am finally ready to submit to your authority.  You win!

I don’t know why, but for some reason I’ve always been resistant to wedges.  (Maybe first of all it’s because I’m not very fashionable.  Anyone with a pair of eyeballs can see that, so I might as well not try denying it!)

I first remember seeing wedge sandals in the summer a year or two ago.  I initially hated the way they looked and thought I would never wear them.  But as I’ve seen them more and more recently, I’ve realized that they’re here to stay, and hey – I kind of like them!

Another eye-opener for me was when my daughter got a new Barbie for her birthday…and guess what was on her feet?  A sky-high pair of fabulous white wedge sandals.  I figured if even a doll can keep up with current fashion trends, then maybe it was time for me to get on the ball!

Of course, it’s not exactly sandal season right now, so I think I’ll start on my wedge journey during this cooler weather, with a new pair of boots…

Top Shoe Trends for Fall: Over-the-Knee Boots

Howdy, Internets!  Hope everyone’s doing well and staying warm!  If you’re still looking for some fall footwear to add to your closet, I’ve got just the thing:  Over-the-Knee Boots.  These are quickly becoming the must-have footwear these days.  And the Celebs, as usual, are the first to hop on the style-train.  And I know some of you are thinking…  “I can’t pull off that look.  I don’t wanna look all Julia-Roberts-in-Pretty-Woman-before-the-shopping-spree.”
